August 26, 2008 General Meeting

Reid called the meeting to order.

The meeting notes were reviewed. A motion to accept the minutes as presented was made by ______________ and seconded by Rod.

Reid updated the board on the status of those nominated for Distinguished Alumni. Roland Burris, Paul Carpenter and Mrs. Dike Eddleman have accepted. Steve Francois, James Brady and William Norwood have not responded.

Rod and Reid informed the board that Mrs. Eddleman has offered the school one of Dike's Olympic medals if the school can find a safe place to display it.

The Centralia Historical Museum is being considered to host the reception for presenting of the Distinguished Alumni awards. The Museum charges $225. Catering was discussed. Kaskaskia College was considered by out of our budget. It was recommend by those attending that Sherry Neff cater at a very accommodating price.

The next meeting will be September 16th.
